#101 Jenny Haskins--Sharman's Vintage Garden 1. Thursday Feb 11. Intro session 7 pm. to discuss materials, introduce the class, discuss layouts and planning. Actual discussion probably about 1 hour, then time for individual help total 1.5 hours. Might make sense to have you there if possible re sales and ordering. 2. Thursday March 11. Hands on session 6:30 - 9:30 pm to discuss and work with accurate hooping and present first block. They will work with exercises rather than an actual block. Given different machines and the number of stitches involved in doing half of a Grand Dream hooping I don't think it is realistic to work with a block. Also maybe some still waiting on threads in their colours or other materials. With exercises we can cover more in terms of troublesome situations etc. They can learn to accurate hoop with a regular hoop, use the Grand Dream and rotate and use PP to check things out, and how to interrupt your work. Based on who ends up registered, may adjust the time frame on this a bit or send some without Grand Dream home early. Supply list for this provided in the first session. 3. Thursday April 8, 7 pm Show and Tell of how they have been doing. Troubleshooting. Present two more embroidered blocks. Can bring their machine set up if they want individual help with any follow up issues from the 11th. Not really hands on, but some may want to bring set up if they really have issues with something. About 2 hr. 4. Thursday May 13, Hands on Session 7:00 - 9:30 pm Applique alternatives. Hints, tips and alternative approaches to applique. They stitch a cornerstone block. These are small and I think therefore transportable if needed. 5. Thursday June 3, 7 pm Show and Tell, Trouble Shooting. Present 2 of the larger applique blocks. Probably about 1.5 hr. 6. Thursday July 8, 7 pm Show and Tell, Trouble Shooting. Present how to do the tougher 2 applique blocks for the Grand Dream. Probably about 1.5 hr. 7. Thursday August 12, 7 pm Show and Tell, Trouble Shooting, Present 2 or 3 embroidery blocks. Probably about 1.5 hr. 8. Thursday September 9, 7 pm. Show and Tell, Trouble Shooting, Present 2 or 3 embroidery blocks. Probably about 1.5 hr. 9. Thursday October 7, 7pm. Show and Tell, Trouble Shooting, Center medallion. Probably about 1.5 hr. 10.
